Antonio Moretta, M.D., F.H.R.S

Director of Arrhythmia Services

Antonio-Moretta-MDDr. Antonio Moretta joined the Heart Center in 2014. He is a clinical cardiac electrophysiologist and is board-certified in clinical cardiac electrophysiology, internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and echocardiography.  Dr. Moretta is also a Fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society.

Dr. Moretta is a graduate of St. George’s University School of Medicine and trained in both internal medicine and cardiology at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan. He went on to complete a 2-year fellowship in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Stony Brook University Hospital.

Dr. Moretta performs interventional and surgical procedures to treat cardiac arrhythmias such as pacemaker/defibrillator implantation and radiofrequency/cryothermal ablation. In addition, he is trained in the latest technologies in electrophysiology such as; subcutaneous defibrillator implantation, minimally invasive left atrial appendage occlusion to prevent stroke, and leadless pacemaker implantation.

Dr. Moretta is affiliated with Huntington Hospital, Stony Brook University Hospital, North Shore University Hospital Manhasset, South Side Hospital,  and Good Samaritan Hospital.
